I just… it was all too much! Then the phone rang. It was Bastian. He told me I had to come out… release a statement. He was right of course. Do it on my terms with at least a little bit of dignity, or let the press turn me into the homo closet queen former champion. I was on autopilot. I recorded a statement. He should have been freaking out like I was, but all he cared about was how I was doing. I tried to point out that this was going to affect him, too, but he just brushed me off and said he would be okay. Next thing I know, they’re both all over me, telling me they want to make me feel better. Sex was honestly the last thing on my mind, but then I realized I had just come out.
